I was a guest instructor teaching Creative Writing  for the monthly Life Skills workshop for Inner Hope Youth Ministries. The students were insightful, diligent, and frequently hilarious! I had a great time with this one! Thank you, Inner Hope!

The ApParent Project trains artisans in Haiti.

Many of Haiti’s “orphans” actually do have living parents, but they are driven to give their children to an orphanage because of extreme poverty. The ApParent Project is addressing Haiti’s orphan crisis at the root by responding to the needs of families before they are at the point of desperation, by finding creative ways for Haitians to be self-employed and provide for their children with dignity and joy.
